and you've tried everything else, perhaps it's time to try something fun and a little bit different.
Take a Deep Breath. Step out into Nature.
• What would it feel like if you could step away from the concerns of the day and just BE?
• Leave the stress behind and experience the healing power of horses and nature.
• Step back from the busyness of your life and focus on yourself for a change.
• Spend time in nature and take in all the peace and tranquility it offers.
When you come out to the farm for a session, you will be greeted by a friendly, goofy dog and an array of big-hearted friendly creatures that will bring out the best in you.
You will be inspired to sink into the present moment as our furry co-therapists will show up for you, stand beside you, and if you listen closely with all your senses and open your heart and mind, they will have a lot to show you.
Equine Assisted Counselling & Wellbeing (EAC & W) is a therapeutic approach I developed over several years. It incorporates various evidence-based counselling and therapeutic modalities and blends mindfulness, body awareness, breathwork, and nature-based therapy.
Think of it like traditional counselling and therapy, except it's in a field or the arena with horses attending the session as co-therapists. All EAC & W work is done from the ground. There is no riding involved.
In this capacity, partnering with horses - and other four-legged critters - is life-altering and soul-stirring, helping clients achieve emotional growth and healing, unlike anything they've ever experienced.
• Trauma/PTSD
• Grief and loss
• Substance abuse/recovery

• Self-esteem and self-confidence
EAC & W is a powerful therapeutic approach with positive outcomes.
I will start with helping you address immediate concerns like managing difficult emotions and challenging life situations. I will provide you with impactful yet straightforward strategies to make changes immediately.
Through hearing your story, I will start to get a picture of your challenges and clarify how we can best support you.
First, I provide a safe, accepting space so that you will feel comfortable sharing your struggles with me. At this point, I will introduce you to your horse – or other four-legged critter - and go over basic safety and handling.
EAC & W consists of 75-minute or 2 - 3 hour sessions - the length of the session will be determined by your goals and the number of people attending.
I will email a welcome package with intake forms and a waiver that needs to be signed before the session.
In our first session, we will go over the intake form; I will listen to you, share thoughts and ask questions. I play an active role.
Throughout our sessions, you will start making progress along your healing journey. I will check in with you often about how it is going. Your feedback is essential, and I want to hear it all - this is your process and your thoughts and feelings matter.
Keeping your unique goals in mind, we'll figure out what's needed to help you reach them and make adjustments to your treatment plan as we go.
We will also work on clarifying your goals for coming out to the farm for your EAC & W sessions.
We will encourage you to embrace and trust the process and the powerful healing presence of our beautiful animals.
